Ilaveezhapoonchira: A Handshake With Nature

IlaveezhapoonchiraWhen traveling to Kerala, mostly people prefer to explore the backwaters and sea beaches. If thinking of hill stations, it must be Munnar or Wayanad. Keeping your itinerary flexible can easily fit some of the least explored spots like Ilaveezhapoonchira. The grass covered hillocks and the misty valley with a swirling river through its folds gives a traveler his best chance to have a handshake with nature.

Mud roads, tough curves, and unstable earth makes the place almost unreachable, but there lies the adventure. After overcoming the hurdles and when you reach the peak, you will experience the unexplored nature just inside your hug. Though ideal for trekking, this rarely explored picnic spot is best visited on a bike. When the rocks are drenched under monsoon showers with streams plunging from hillocks, the vegetation is lush and the place is extremely exotic.
